Free books.No cost.No barriers.

Unbound Pages Foundation hosts free community book fairs in Atlanta and beyond, where readers of every age take home diverse books donated by their neighbors.

Our mission

To promote literacy and access to diverse literature. Every person deserves the chance to explore stories that reflect their own experiences and the experiences of others.

Our vision

Unbound Pages is more than a book giveaway. We're building a literacy movement that puts inclusive stories in every home, brings neighbors together, and grows fair by fair into every community that wants one.

Every fair is free and open to all. No cost, no sign-up, no barriers.

  • Inclusion

Our shelves carry stories that reflect every reader's identity, history, and dreams.

  • Justice

Storytelling is a form of justice, and knowledge should never be gatekept.

  • Belonging

Each fair is a place where neighbors gather, connect, and feel at home.

  • Joy

Reading is a celebration. We want every reader to leave excited for the next page.

Upcoming book fairs

Every fair is free and open to the public. Bring a tote bag and take home as many books as you'll read.

From one shelf to another

Every fair runs on a simple loop. Books leave one home and land in the next, with no price tag in between.

Neighbors donate

New and gently used books come in from families, schools, and partners, or straight from our Amazon wish list.

Volunteers sort

Our team shelves every book by age and interest, with care for stories that reflect the whole community.

Readers take home

Anyone can walk in, browse, and leave with an armful. No sign-up, no cost.

A shelf for every reader

From infants to elders, there's a table for you. Tap a spine to see what's waiting.

Volunteer with us

Behind every fair is a crew of volunteers who turn a pile of donations into a room full of readers.

  • No experience needed. We'll show you the ropes.
  • Help at one fair or many. Pick what fits your schedule.
  • Groups, families, and students are welcome.

Questions, answered

What is Unbound Pages Foundation?

A community-driven initiative that increases access to books, stories, and knowledge as tools for liberation. We host free community book fairs where every book is donated by the community, for the community, for readers of all ages. Beyond the fairs, we build partnerships, uplift underrepresented voices, and create spaces where learning and joy are shared.

Are the fairs really free?

Yes. Every fair is free and open to the public. All of the books are donated and given away with no cost and no strings attached.

Who are the fairs for?

Everyone. We collect books for infants, toddlers, kids, teens, adults, and elders.

How do I donate books?

We accept new and gently used books for all ages that reflect our values of inclusion, justice, and diverse representation. Bring them to any fair, fill out the book donation form to arrange a drop-off, or shop our wish list.

How do I give money?

Use our secure donation form on Zeffy, a free fundraising platform for nonprofits. You can give once, or set up a monthly, quarterly, or yearly gift. At checkout, Zeffy may suggest an optional tip to support their platform. That tip goes to Zeffy, not to Unbound Pages, and you can change it to $0. Either way, 100% of your gift reaches us.

Can I host a book fair in my community?

Yes. Schools, neighborhoods, organizations, and gathering spaces all make great hosts. See what hosting looks like.

Where do I find upcoming fair dates?

Upcoming fairs are listed on this page and announced first on our Instagram and Facebook. Follow along so you never miss one.

How else can I get involved?

Volunteer at a fair, share our posts, introduce us to a potential partner, or support us financially to keep events running. However you join, you're helping expand access to stories and strengthen community bonds.

Someone's next favorite book is on your shelf.

Pass it on. It could be the one a kid reads three times this week.
